Yep, it
First of all... as a caveat: Theres no way to know if the Universe *actually* splits, as you cant obviously travel there to check it out. He admits it in the notes and the website.
But, having said that, this isnt just another "random-coin-flip" generator. I have an iPod Touch, and noticed that it wouldnt work when I didnt have Wi-Fi. Thinking this was just an offline random-thingy... I got paranoid and thinking it was sending out personal info... so I started to look into it.
Turns out... it really DOES contact Geneva, Switzerland. They have an honest to goodness Quantum device that generates an "A" or "B" result... and has an exact 50% chance of being either one. Unlike a coin toss, which can have other factors that may actually skew the result one way or the other. Sure, its just a "random number generator"... but its the most down-the-middle random-number generator youll find.
The real joke... is that its NOT a joke. Which actually makes it funnier, if you ask me. (Kind of an Andy Kaufman kind of thing) The guy actually went the extra 10 miles... and it seems so absurd to us, that we figure its a joke. But its not... which then means it is. This is seriously quantum humor to the extreme.
If you have any doubts... you can find the developers e-mail on his website (mentioned in the app itself), and hes more then willing to provide any proof you need. Pictures of the device, statements from the Geneva people, even show you the code that sends it to Switzerland.
So if youre comparing it to other 50-50 generators... I recommend this one, because it actually does what it says.
